Here are some tips to increase your concentration levels:1. MOTIVATION: be motivated to accomplish your objectives. Always have it in your mind “to do the next big thing”. Remember you are the one who is responsible for your actions and their results. You can inspire yourself by reading about great men, their legends & their will to succeed. Keeping inspirational posters on your desk or sticking them in your room won’t be a bad idea. You may even check out our motivational section to get your spirit up.
2. CONCENTRATION CHART: we suggest here an innovative method to rise up your concentration prowess. Take a sheet of paper when you sit down to study. Mark a cross-sign on the sheet of paper every time your attention is diverted from studies. Even mark it whenever you leave your seat for any reason. Ideally you should have an hour long sitting. Just count the number of cross marks. At the beginning you’d be amazed of the number of cross-marks. However, after a few days you’d start to lessen the marks. Great news then, you are increasing upon your concentration levels.
3. STUDY HABITS: the manner in which you study even contribute a lot in your learning process. For ex., if you lie down on bed and start reading chemistry; it’s inevitable that you’d start feeling dizziness. We advise you to strictly study on a table-chair. You should always sit in proper postures otherwise you’d feel fatigued. Keep a good pen and a rough notebook to practice and underlining important texts in book. Do not keep your cell phone near your study place and you shouldn’t attend to your friends messages or calls as far as possible. You may think we are idealizing it too much but it is highly recommended to leave out trivial things such as mobiles, TV, video games, laptops, etc. at least during your preparation period. Believe us; in the end you’d be damn happy that you left all this and came out as a winner.
4. EXERCISES: many students think this as an insignificant part during their preparation period. “A healthy brain always resides in a healthy body”. Try to do brisk jogging or yoga as you get up. Don’t really exert too much upon your body. You should meditate during your break from study. This will help your mind relax. There is a popular misconception of watching funny videos or cartoons to ease out your tension. To an extent that’s alright but too much of it ruins your mental state. Try keeping your calm and don’t get over logged with ideas. Also relax your eyes at proper intervals. You may find some of it irrelevant but it works right to improve your concentrating skills. “early to bed and early to rise, keeps a man healthy, wealthy and wise”.
