How To Choose An Engineering Branch

• Finding job easily : one needs to agree that the main motive of everyone is to earn a living. Thus choosing a branch which will get you better placement is important. Though most engineering branches almost have the same average pay-packages but branches like CSE & ECE are clearly leading the bunch.
• Diligence for the branch: it is an important aspect to be looked at. Most people end up taking CSE because they are good at computers. But this is not what is the main requirement. One needs to be good at maths for him taking CSE. Similarly other branches have quite spanned syllabus & one should not pick up a branch just by the look of it. One must thoroughly go through the course syllabus & then decide. Always remember you can create scope for yourself no matter whatever your branch is given that you are interested in your branch.
• College: college is by far the most important factor of choosing your branch. Most people are okay with almost any branch in a good college. Although this looks a good deal but remember "college is for 4 years, branch is for a lifetime". However choosing your preferred branch from a college which is by no way upto the mark is digging a branch for yourself. Such a college where no good infrastructure or faculty is provided will not help you even if you get a top-notch branch. On the other hand pursuing your engineering degree from a good college with a lower branch may be good given that most colleges have the option for branch changing after 1st year.
